Mrs. Waetara is a long-time public servant, having served in various roles in the Ministry of Finance and Treasury, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of National Planning and Development Coordination (MNPDC) and most recently as Chief Electoral Officer, at the Electoral Commission.
