All vaccination sites in Honiara closed

Over the past few days, we’ve seen the influx of people(Honiara Residents) to the vaccination sites and unfortunately, CoVid measures such as social distancing have not been practiced.

The overcrowding sparked constructive debates on social media and some concerned citizens are calling on the responsible ministry to do something about it as it poses a high risk of transmitting the virus.

MHMS therefore, issued a public notice via their Facebook page that all vaccination sites are now closed as of today the 2nd of February 2022.

This will allow the ministry to re-strategize; control overcrowding and prevent the spread of the virus to the public and health workers.

The vaccination sites will remain closed until further notice. MHMS will advise the public on details of the vaccination roll out once finalized.

In the meantime, MHMS is asking the public to continue practicing CoVid safety measures such as wearing facemask, hand-washing and social distancing(2m).
