Authorities take swift action against alleged breach of Quarantine protocols

Authorities have last night responded to the alleged breach of Quarantine protocols.

Having received reports from the Camp Management, the Oversight Committee on COVID19 has taken the necessary steps to address the breaches. This includes testing and transferring the person who came into contact with the items passed through quarantine to quarantine in which that person will be quarantined for 14 days.

In an operation carried out last night, members of the National Health Emergency Operations Committee successfully implemented its standard operating procedures which resulted in swabs taken from that person.

Upon notification of the incident of breach in quarantine, the Ministry of Health and Medical Services (MHMS) initiated appropriate actions to investigate further the breach in quarantine.

Actions taken by MHMS thus far has been to test the person whom was involved in the breach of quarantine and also transfer the person into quarantine as well awaiting the test results.

The person will undergo required quarantine period with additional assessments will be carried out tomorrow.
