Police appeals for murder suspect to surrender

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) appeals to the suspect in an alleged murder incident at Gwaiau Village in North Malaita on 20 April 2020 to surrender himself to police.

This follows the death of a pregnant woman, who is the wife of the suspect in the alleged incident.

Supervising Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Malaita Province Superintendent William Foufaka says, “It is alleged the incident happened after the couple had a row at their home. Investigation into this sad incident is continuing to establish how the woman died.”

“The suspect escaped after the incident so I call on him to surrender himself so he can be questioned in relation to the alleged incident. Anyone with information can call Malu’u Police Station on phone 51308 or mobile 7423171 or Auki Police Station on 40132.”
