SPECIAL WEATHER BULLETIN NUMBER THREE ISSUED BY THE SOLOMON ISLANDS METEOROLOGICAL SERVICE AT 04:00AM THIS MORNING, SATURDAY 23RD NOVEMBER 2019
A SPECIAL WEATHER ADVICE IS CURRENT FOR ALL PROVINCES.
SITUATION: A TROUGH LIES OVER SOLOMON ISLANDS AND LINKS TO A TROPICAL LOW LOCATED JUST NORTH OF TEMOTU PROVINCE
EXPECT WINDS OF 15 TO 25 KNOTS (27 – 46 KILOMETERS PER HOUR) GUSTING TO 30 KNOTS (55 KILOMETERS PER HOUR) AT TIMES.
SEAS WILL BE MODERATE TO ROUGH WITH MODERATE SWELLS (2.5 -3.5M) DEVELOPING OVER MOST WATERS.
EXPECT HEAVY RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER MOST PROVINCES.
PEOPLE SHOULD TAKE PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES AS BAD WEATHER ASSOCIATED WITH THE TROPICAL LOW POSES THREATS TO LIVES AND PROPERTIES.
